2nd shift Production Operator
About the role
As an Operator on the Production Team, you will play a crucial role in our projects by supporting our manufacturing process. The Operator is responsible for assembling parts by hand on a production floor, using tools and machines, and operating welding, assembly, and other various production machinery.
Production Team Members represent the largest percentage of the DSC Manufacturing team and are vital to our success. Production Team Members perform repetitive manufacturing duties supporting DSC Manufacturing's Assembly, Welding, Quality Control, and Conveyance production departments.
Responsibilities
- Work with small components for assembly on the seat frame and busbar
- Contribute to a diverse team, working toward a common goal
- Adjust to changing needs in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity
- Perform equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance activities
- Uphold company practices and policies in areas such as Safety, Standards of Conduct, Quality, Performance, and Communication
- Adhere to processes and procedures associated with the Production Department for seat production
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and jigs for assembly and material handling
- Maintain a consistent work pace, utilize time effectively, and complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Adhere to 5S principles for a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- 18+ years of age at the time of application
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Able to perform essential job functions of varying manufacturing positions
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be willing and able to work Monday through Friday and weekends as required based on business needs
- Willing to work daily and weekly overtime
- Able to work fixed or rotating shifts (example: work a day shift and then an evening/night shift on a defined rotating schedule)
- PPE Safety Shoes: Must be ANSI rated. Employee purchase with reimbursement after 90 days (up to $50)
Pay
Starting Pay: $16 - $18.50 / hour
Schedule
Monday through Friday, frequent weekends required (Saturday & Sunday). Hours: 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, frequent extended hours until 3:30 AM.
