The Magna Exteriors portfolio includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules (fascia), active aerodynamic systems, and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck, and industrial markets. We provide end-to-end solutions from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through production areas to ensure assigned production requirements for quality and timing are met.
  • Inform team leader, production supervisor, or production manager of assembly problems.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings on time.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Perform detailed assembly operations to mass-produce automotive products.
  • Execute fitting or fastening operations using assigned tools, following work instructions in accordance with TS16949 and ISO standards.
  • Review all quality alerts prior to the start of the shift.
  • Perform duties as outlined in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Comply with all quality policies and procedures.
  • Initiate actions to prevent non-conformities related to product, process, and quality.
  • Identify and record problems relating to product, process, and quality.
  • Report machine and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
  • Ensure safe handling and maintenance of all company equipment, facility, and tools.
  • Perform daily routine maintenance to keep the plant clean, safe, and healthy.
  • Complete any other reasonable assignments given by team leaders or management.
  • Understand and comply with responsibilities outlined in the Magna Employee’s Charter.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous production experience is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform assembly duties with minimal supervision.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of hand tools.

Physical Demands

  • May be required to stand and/or walk in excess of 6-8 hours.
  • May be required to lift, push, and/or pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Average mobility to move around a manufacturing environment.

Pay

Starting pay: $17.25 per hour with a $0.35 premium.

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
