Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Cook up and oversee daily production for the machine process. Help ensure acceptable production rates and meeting customer deadlines. Provide initial supervision for the Production Associates and Machine Operators.

  • Ensure all necessary supplies are always available for production
  • Responsible for setting up, changing over, and setting up machines and production lines
  • Verify that the right packaging materials are being used
  • Quickly fix workstation errors and make minor machine adjustments to keep processes running smoothly
  • Monitor hourly expected job rates for productivity
  • Work with Quality to report defective products or packaging and ensure quality standards are met
  • Have accurate knowledge of production orders and labor allocation forms
  • Avoid hazards on the production floor and maintain a safe environment
  • Seek ways to improve operations continuously
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred
  • On-the-job training provided

  • Ability to keep company and customer information confidential
  • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens, and other communications
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with coworkers
  • Must be able to reach, touch, and grasp
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull, and push
  • Must be able to conduct oneself safely to avoid accidents while on the production floor
  • Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products
  • Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 35 pounds
