Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Cook up and oversee daily production for the machine process. Help ensure acceptable production rates and meeting customer deadlines. Provide initial supervision for the Production Associates and Machine Operators.
- Ensure all necessary supplies are always available for production
- Responsible for setting up, changing over, and setting up machines and production lines
- Verify that the right packaging materials are being used
- Quickly fix workstation errors and make minor machine adjustments to keep processes running smoothly
- Monitor hourly expected job rates for productivity
- Work with Quality to report defective products or packaging and ensure quality standards are met
- Have accurate knowledge of production orders and labor allocation forms
- Avoid hazards on the production floor and maintain a safe environment
- Seek ways to improve operations continuously
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
- 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred
- On-the-job training provided

- Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens, and other communications
- Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with coworkers
- Must be able to reach, touch, and grasp
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull, and push
- Must be able to conduct oneself safely to avoid accidents while on the production floor
- Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products
- Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 35 pounds
