2nd Shift Plating Technician

Duties/Responsibilities

• Racks and unracks parts.
• Makes sure the production line is running smoothly.
• Loads and unloads plating barrels.
• Completes quality checks using measurement equipment.
• Enters job information into the computer.
• Reads and follows work instructions and quality inspection standards.
• Maintains a safe work environment and uses appropriate safety equipment.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace around chemical storage areas and equipment.
• Operates machinery safely.
• Maintains 6S standards in all workstations.
• Performs other tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.
• Routine, repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs., occasional heavy lifting, and pushing/pulling 10 lbs. regularly, 1 to 10 hours per day.
• Standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and walking for 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.
• All limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.
• Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of surrounding area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
