About the Role

The Warehouse Associate safely and efficiently performs a variety of duties within PBV’s warehouse operations to support internal and external customers and meet business goals. Duties include pulling, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, stacking, building pallets, wrapping, transporting, counting, quality control checks, dumping, reworking, replenishing, and handling products, raw materials, and packaging. The exact duties may vary by facility.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM start time (end time not specified).

Responsibilities

  • Verifies accuracy and quality of products received from vendors/suppliers and shipped to customers.
  • Performs check-in/check-out duties and maintains records (Bill of Ladings, receivers, pick tickets) according to warehouse standard operating procedures.
  • Counts goods returned to the plant by sales and delivery personnel (damaged, full, and/or empty).
  • Interacts with automation systems, voice pick systems, paper pick tickets, and warehouse management systems to verify and record products, build pallets, and ensure accurate load outs and inventory counts.
  • Identifies machine faults, troubleshoots, corrects system errors, and performs basic cleaning and maintenance on automation systems.
  • Safely and efficiently operates warehouse material handling equipment (e.g., single/double forklifts, High-Speed Picking Area (HSPA) Claw, walkie-rider pallet jack, wrappers) and other machinery (e.g., floor scrubber, cardboard baler, dock plates, bay doors).
  • Performs safety and pre-trip checks on assigned machinery.
  • Performs janitorial tasks (e.g., emptying trash, cleaning spills, restacking overturned pallets, maintaining a clean and organized workspace).
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Security, and other food safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass the forklift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling Equipment.
  • At least six (6) months of forklift experience preferred.
  • Computer/Human Machine Interface skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to sort, group, and count large quantities of products/materials.
  • Ability to read and understand product labels and load ticket instructions.
  • Ability to read/hear and understand work procedures.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with exposure to hot/humid or cold conditions.
