2nd Shift Molder Expander Operator

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Molder Expander for our Gainesville, GA location.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Expander, Block Mold, and related manufacturing equipment.
• Verify equipment set-up prior to production runs; operate and shut down equipment safely.
• Produce parts with correct material, density, weight, size, and shape within quality tolerance to meet job requirements and productivity standards.
• Expand raw beads to specification and monitor equipment/process; report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Assist with routine cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment.
• Record pertinent information during expanding processes and troubleshoot/adjust equipment settings as needed.
• Train backup expander personnel as required.
• Maintain proper work logs, complete required reports, and keep a clean/organized work area.
• Transfer expanded beads into proper storage bags and transport raw materials using forklift or hand-operated equipment.
• Perform additional functions and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Above-average understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken) and able to use simple math and basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of barcoding.
• Forklift operator certification required within 2 months of hire; prior forklift experience preferred.
• Must be verified by supervisor and signed off on required procedures within 2 months of hire.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.
