2nd Shift Medical Waste Plant Operator (6812) *$24/HR*
We are looking to hire a Plant Operator for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Sturtevant, WI. The role involves a wide variety of tasks, from checking in containers and verifying paperwork to operating equipment and handling waste materials. The ideal candidate enjoys varied work and can solve practical problems.
Responsibilities
- Weigh incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers using our Weighbridge
- Load and operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
- Load the Washsmart system (container washing and sanitization system)
- Drive a forklift and operate hand trucks once trained
- Lift up to 55 lbs and push four-wheeled carts weighing up to 200 lbs
- Maintain attention to detail, particularly with required paperwork
- Stand for extended periods comfortably
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team
Requirements
- Can-do attitude with a commitment to efficient, timely scheduling
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive job (repetitive lifting of 50–75 lb containers)
- Proven longevity with past employers
