2nd-Shift Mechanic

Pay

Starting pay: $30–$35 per hour (top pay increases based on experience and qualifications). Plus a $2 per hour work differential (pay can be increased further based on experience and certifications/licenses).

Starting shift: 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Overtime paid after 40 hours worked per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical diagnostics and repairs on fleet vehicles, including complex hydraulic lifters and compactors
• Use state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic systems
• Maintain and repair diesel engines, turbochargers, pistons, and massive hydraulic rams
• Collaborate in a high‑energy shop environment with team support

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of diesel engines and heavy‑vehicle mechanical systems
• Own a professional‑grade toolbox
• Strong problem‑solving skills — diagnose root causes, not just swap parts
• Class A or B CDL preferred; company will assist with obtaining credentials if needed
