About the role

In this role, you’ll play a key part in our warehouse and distribution workflow by operating Powered Industrial Equipment to ensure our products reach customers safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where safety, accuracy, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and organizing incoming product
  • Picking and preparing customer orders
  • Loading trucks for outbound shipments
  • Operating Powered Industrial Equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and dock trucks
  • Performing physical tasks including repetitive bending, lifting, twisting, and moving materials
  • Following direction and Perrigo’s standard operating procedures
  • Inspecting semi-trailers for safety and deciding how to stack pallets
  • Stacking pallets with different sized boxes and loading semi-trailers to scale correctly

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Valid driver’s license or minimum 1 year of motorized forklift or Hilo driving experience (other driving experience may be considered in lieu of a valid driver’s license)
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week with availability for overtime when necessary
  • Availability to train on other shifts
  • Must complete core skills within 1 month or 30 days
  • Basic computer skills (point & click, ability to navigate through computer-based training systems)
  • Basic math and reading/comprehension skills
  • Ability to stand for approximately 85% of the total shift, with breaks every 2 hours
  • Ability to see, hear, and understand signs, labels, and instructions (vision requirements may align with those of a valid driver’s license)
  • Eye, hand, and feet coordination

Physical Requirements

  • Consistently/Frequently: Stand, walk, lift 60 lbs., pulling and pushing 60 lbs., stoop/bend, squat, twisting, reach, grasp, move items/boxes, feel with hands/fingers
  • Rarely: Climb stairs
  • Environmental: Exposure to loud noises/machinery
  • Other qualities: Ability to read and write, interpret information, basic to intermediate math skills for adding cases on pallets, counting pallets, and reading/writing in English

Skills

  • Simple and complex problem-solving (e.g., stacking pallets with different sized boxes, loading semi-trailers to scale correctly)
  • Simple decision-making (e.g., inspecting semi-trailers for safety, determining pallet stacking)
  • Understanding of safety, teamwork, quality, and attention to detail

This role requires working with potential allergens, including: Omeprazole, Esomeprazole, Lansoprazole, Pantoprazole, Rabeprazole, Famotidine, Loratadine, Guaifenesin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Nicotine, and Natural Flavorings.
