About the role

This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility support equipment at the Cazenovia, NY facility.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in an energy-efficient, safe manner and minimize downtime.
  • Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Maintain compliance with state, county, and city ordinances, codes, and laws.
  • Utilize CMMS system Upkeep for work orders and real-time record keeping.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Perform unscheduled maintenance during production on equipment.
  • Work independently or with a team to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Handle hazardous waste in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Follow and support all safety practices, including wearing proper PPE, adhering to SOPs, and reporting safety incidents.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Current or previously forklift certified.
  • Previous experience with vacuum deposition equipment preferred.
  • General knowledge of industry maintenance and repair practices.
  • Ability to work independently and plan work without direct supervision.
  • Frequent climbing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical components on industrial or commercial equipment.
  • For second-shift maintenance technicians: Must complete six months of training on first shift and demonstrate the ability to work independently on second shift with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen eligible to work in the U.S. without restriction to ITAR documentation and materials.

Pay

The hourly pay rate for this role is $25 - $35 per hour.
