2nd Shift_ Machinist II_ Onsite

Location: York, NE (onsite) – 2800 Division Ave, Plant 52. This position requires U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

About the role

Collins Aerospace, York, NE is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in a clean, climate-controlled facility where safety and quality are top priorities. You will operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, hones, and other specialized equipment to convert raw materials into precision semi-finished goods, perform finish work, and mark parts at various stages of production.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, hones, and other specialized CNC and manual equipment.
• Perform finish work and marking of parts in various stages of production.
• Run multiple machines to convert raw materials into precision semi-finished goods within print tolerance specifications.
• Obtain inspection certification through on-the-job training and testing.
• Collaborate across functions and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred:

• Experience with measurement equipment (e.g., gauges, calipers).
• Experience with basic hand tools.
• Proficiency with computers and job-specific applications (email, internet, etc.).
• Strong math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints.

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm.
• Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm for a limited time (varies based on shift and trainer availability).
