2nd Shift Lead Compounder

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Compounder to join our 2nd shift team at our Perrigo facility in Bronx, New York. This is a union position.

Responsibilities

• Compound batches from a copy of the master formula and provide directions to operators/compounders.
• Weigh raw materials and monitor batch procedures.
• Set up, operate, and clean various kettles and pumps.
• Move materials to and from the compounding area.
• Sign batch records and make log entries.
• Follow written instructions and all SOPs for manufacturing/compounding.
• Complete equipment set-ups for manufacturing.
• Clean equipment, containers, and areas as needed.
• Cooperate with QA inspectors and follow appropriate cleaning procedures.
• Maintain the operating schedule and professional work relations with colleagues, managers, and supervisors.
• Follow all safety rules, company policies, and procedures.
• Ensure water requirements are met and monitor batches during processing.
• Review the activity of compounders and set-up operators to ensure proper completion of work.
• Complete sign-offs as required by SOP.

Requirements

• One year of compounding experience preferred.
• Ability to read English and sign batch records/log entries after each step.
• Ability to lift materials/equipment weighing between 25–50 lbs.
• Ability to wear a full/half-face respirator.

Pay

$25.00 per hour.

Schedule

4x10 schedule (four 10-hour shifts per week).
