2nd Shift Laser/Fabrication Operator

Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on, is seeking a candidate to cut, shape, and form parts and articles from various materials to produce complete products according to customer specifications.

Pay

$23.75/hr starting pay, plus attendance incentive and $2 shift differential.

Schedule

4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday.

Responsibilities

• Skilled use of drill presses, lathes, mills, lasers, and other industrial machine shop equipment
• Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions
• Verifying dimensions and product specifications
• Marking and cutting lines on material
• Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and secured
• Ensuring that quality control standards are met
• Troubleshooting and stress-testing products to minimize problems or recalls
• Reporting and detailing product malfunctions
• Conducting equipment preventive maintenance and changeovers as needed
• Adhering to safety standards
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Organizational skills, ensuring precision, orderliness, and neatness
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective manner
• Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges; self-starter
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to stand for long periods and work extended hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically throughout the day
• Must be able to work as a team player
• Must align with the Snap-on mission statement
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:
  • Hi-Vis Vest
  • Steel Toe Shoes
  • Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (if applicable)
  • Gloves (if applicable)
  • Ear Plugs (if applicable)
• Must adhere to safety guidelines
