Responsibilities
- Operate and set up all types of machines in the Tool Room, both manual and CNC, including Wire EDM and Esprit Cad Cam Software.
- Comprehend verbal/written instructions and interpret all types of blueprints and specifications.
- Perform grinding duties as needed.
- Use all types of measuring equipment in the Tool Room.
- Process and operate machines, and train other personnel.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oiling machines.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the department.
- Use various Toolmaker tools such as micrometers, calipers, 6” scale, protractor/square, 1-2-3 blocks, and a toolbox with required tools.
- Hold tolerances to .0005 or better when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
