About the role
This role involves hands-on industrial painting tasks such as sandblasting, surface preparation, and coating application. The focus is on full-process work rather than repetitive production spraying.
Responsibilities
- Perform sandblasting of structural steel and equipment components
- Grind, clean, and prepare surfaces to meet coating specifications
- Ensure proper surface profiles for coating adhesion
- Mix and apply industrial coatings according to specifications
- Prime and finish large steel components and assemblies
- Monitor environmental and application conditions for proper curing
- Inspect finished surfaces for coverage, consistency, and durability
- Correct defects and rework surfaces as needed
- Ensure finished product meets quality and customer standards
- Maintain paint equipment, tools, and storage areas
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental controls
- Clock in and out on time
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience painting structural steel, heavy equipment, or industrial components
- Experience with sandblasting equipment
Qualifications
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
- Eligibility to access export-controlled information where applicable
- Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with applicable laws
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and randomized drug testing during employment
- Ability to meet the posted work schedule and required hours
- Willingness to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Willingness to wear required PPE when in shop or manufacturing areas
