This full-time position reports directly to the Sr. Production Supervisor and is located at our Phoenix, AZ, manufacturing facility.

About the Role

Lead maintenance activities, performing complex maintenance tasks such as troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of manufacturing machinery. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of leadership in maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate preventive maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Implement solutions and perform repairs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop strategies to prevent recurring equipment failures.
  • Oversee the installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on facilities and equipment including minor HVAC, plumbing, wastewater management, and boiler maintenance.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment history.
  • Ensure appropriate level of communications regarding issues and repair status.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience as a maintenance tech/mechanic in manufacturing environment AND/OR satisfactory completion of level III requirements from the LDI Maintenance Training Program.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Understanding of basic HVAC and plumbing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ year technical degree in Maintenance related field.
  • Experience within the corrugated industry.
  • Experience with operational excellence or continuous improvement programs – Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen Events.

Eligibility in benefit programs is based on hours worked per week.

Pay

The starting pay rate for this position is $33.00 per hour plus $1.00 hourly shift differential pay. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environments.
  • Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift.
  • Must be able to bend and stoop for 7+ hours per shift.
  • Must be able to stand for 6+ hours per shift.
  • Must be able to walk for 6+ hours per shift.
  • Must be able to reach and grasp for 6+ hours per shift.
