2nd Shift Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Communicate with co-workers and coordinate to receive instructions and coordinate activities
• Operate forklift equipment loading, unloading and storing product
• Able to stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas
• Utilize our scanner process and RF scanners
• Audit paperwork – ensure packing list matches what was received
• Checking loads for damage
• Maintain forklift equipment – proper inspections, and safety standards
• Prepare pallets for shipment – may need to band them, wrap them, etc.
• Basic math and counting skills
• Be a self-starter, ability to work under minimal supervision
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

• Working in close proximity to others
• Working with heavy machinery and products
• Moderate to high noise levels
• Tasks may require both indoor and outdoor work assignments
• May be subject to hot and cold temperatures inside the warehouse depending upon outside weather conditions
• Occasional manual labor
