2nd Shift Facilities Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Maintain/troubleshoot/install/upgrade Perrigo’s utility systems (HVAC, Boiler, Chillers, Electrical Panels, dust collectors, control panels, power wires, signal wires, pumps, HMI controls, heat trace, micromotions, pumps, water systems, water treatment system, PET/Glycol systems, sprinklers, doors, heat exchangers, plumbing systems etc)
• Give water to manufacturing and perform general housekeeping tasks (roof cleaning, replacing batteries, replacing ceilings, bathroom clogs, painting, wall patching, general carpentry etc)

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalency
• Five plus years of solid work experience in a variety of maintenance skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
• Three (3) years as a Perrigo Set Up Tech plus at least two years of completed education in a related program from an accredited university/college
• Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) background desirable
• Computer skills in Microsoft Suite and experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP
• Ability to read and work from blueprints
• Demonstrated commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines through good attendance and willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Continuous lifting of 20 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Pushing/pulling up to 400 pounds utilizing a manual cart
• Stooping, squatting, and bending
• Working in confined spaces and high areas using proper procedures with ability to have sustained reach laterally and above shoulder height
• Frequent grasping of objects, small hand tools, calipers, etc.
• Sufficient visual and audio acuity to work safely and accurately in an industrial environment
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment to comply with hazardous procedures
• Minimum of 40 hours per week and required overtime through extended shifts and weekends
• Pass scissor lift driving and fork truck driving test provided by Perrigo
• Pass confined space training, fall arrest training provided by Perrigo
