2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• Use onboard vehicle computer systems to identify failure modes and adjust Engine & Vehicle Control Modules.
• Respond to road calls and emergency repair needs.
• Review and complete repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
• Document work performed using fleet maintenance software.
• Test-drive trucks after repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
• Assist team members with repairs and collaborate in a supportive shop environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, OSHA-compliant workspace.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in diesel diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and heavy-duty truck repair.
• A basic tool set.
• A Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
• Hydraulic repair experience (a strong plus).
• Availability to work a 2pm to 12am schedule.

Pay

Competitive pay range: $27–$30/hr.
