Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
- Use onboard vehicle computer systems to identify failure modes and adjust Engine & Vehicle Control Modules.
- Respond to road calls and emergency repair needs.
- Review and complete repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
- Document work performed using fleet maintenance software.
- Test-drive trucks after repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
- Assist team members with repairs and collaborate in a supportive shop environment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, OSHA-compliant workspace.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in diesel diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and heavy-duty truck repair.
- A basic tool set.
- A Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
- Hydraulic repair experience (a strong plus).
- Availability to work a 2pm to 12am schedule.
Pay
Competitive pay range: $27–$30/hr.
