2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic $2,500 Stay on Bonus

Join our team in McGregor, Texas! We offer a $2,500 stay-on bonus for this 2nd shift position with hours from 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs including, but not limited to, routine maintenance and repairs on engines, chassis, body components, hydraulic cylinders, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, wheels, and tires.
• Inspect equipment and/or trucks for condition, operations, parts, and fluid levels, including differentials, final drives, pump drives, and hubs.
• Knowledge of hydraulic repair is required.
• Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Perform maintenance-related work as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Follow required safety protocols while working on vehicles.
• Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
• Engage in extensive physical activity, including strenuous work, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
• Work in various environments, including indoors in a shop or outdoors on the road, often in awkward or tight positions and handling greasy or dirty tools.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Must provide your own personal tools.
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.
• ASE Certifications are preferred but not required.
