2nd shift corrugating utility
Pay: $24.54 per hour (2nd shift)
About the role
Corrugator utility persons perform a variety of tasks to support corrugator operations and report to corrugator supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules and procedures
- Help single facer and double backer operators prepare rolls for splices and order changes
- Perform other corrugator crew member duties during break periods, as needed
- Work with other associate(s) to change corrugator flute rolls when roll changes are needed
- Assist other crew members with the daily cleaning of the machine
- Help on the sheet line as needed when sheet orders are produced
- Daily empty all waste containers in the corrugator department, including those in supervisors’ offices
- Train on and learn all corrugator crew positions to perform those jobs during vacation, call-in, or other absence situations
- Help clean single facers when they are not in operation
- Unload roll stock from rail cars and trucks as needed
- Keep the truck area empty of roll stock
- Participate in and perform roll stock inventories
- Unload, receive, and store corrugator raw materials in the proper areas
- Perform assigned inspections and tests and complete accurate records
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Requirements
- Ability to meet the requirements of the job with or without accommodation
- Certified ability to safely operate a forklift truck and clamp truck
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler
- Ability to use basic shop math
- Ability to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to ask questions and work effectively as a member of a team
