Job Summary
RAM Tool, Inc. is a high-tech CNC machining and manufacturing facility in Grafton, WI. We are immediately hiring for an available CMM Operator/Technician (2nd Shift) position. This position is 2nd shift and includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus and a 15% shift premium. The CMM Technician is responsible for the measuring of all products to the customer specifications. They are also responsible for the calibration of all tooling. Fixtures and measuring devices. This position is critical to the Die cast mold development, tool steel, aerospace parts, & custom machining parts. Work with Managers, engineers, and supervisors to plan and execute the most cost-effective method for producing quality parts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Use CMM/Roamer Arm to inspect finished product.
- Collect and analyze data on company processes, products, and arrange the data in reports.
- Investigate and diagnose quality complaints or defective product, track down components and recommend corrective actions to improve performance.
- Maintain and organize our internal gauge database.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean work area.
- Complete time travelers, time slips, required inspections, and appropriate paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Journeyman Tool & Die Certificate, Technical Degree preferred
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience or equivalent in the CMM Inspection field
Qualifications & Skills
- Extensive ability to read and interpret blueprints & mechanical drawings.
- Proficient knowledge of GD & T, extensive knowledge preferred.
- Extensive ability to operate CMM machining equipment.
- Extensive ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Extensive ability to solve problems using critical thinking skills.
- Extensive ability to organize and manage priorities, meet deadlines, and expectations.
- Extensive ability to measure/inspect lengths, diameters, straightness, or flatness.
- Self-confident with strong qualitative, analytical, and mathematical skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift with training.

Physical Demands
The physical demands of the job will include lifting, bending and sitting. Lifting to include picking up, pushing or pulling loads up to 50 pounds. Stand 3-4 hours per a 10 hour shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
