About the role
Chassis assembly marks the beginning of the main line production process. Following engineered drawings and work instructions, the Chassis Assembler constructs mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and power supply assemblies. Specialized equipment is occasionally used to assemble, modify, and test components, ensuring all assemblies meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical assemblies
- Assemble power supply assemblies
- Verify that the finished product meets quality standards as designated on the drawings
- Manage time effectively
- Closely work with engineering on design/documentation issues and recommend improvements for manufacturability and quality
- Operate tools and production equipment
Requirements
- Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a "protected person”)
- GED/High School Diploma
- 2+ years of mechanical experience
- Working knowledge of basic computer functions
- Ability to comprehend mechanical drawings
- Hands-on mechanical skills
- Skilled in soldering electronic components
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot individually or as a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC certification
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment with consistent exposure to the manufacturing floor and testing environments
- May require lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods of time
