ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Mix batches for liquid filling line.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix liquid, solids, and powders.
  • Use scales, thermometers, and refractometers.
  • Calculate batch requirements and tolerances with accuracy.
  • Ensure and document quality of batches.
  • Efficiently use the company's enterprise resource planning system for inventory and paperwork.
  • Arrange for bulk shipments with various departments, suppliers, and the railroad company.
  • Draw samples for laboratory analysis and perform simple tests like viscosity and density.
  • Maintain a clean work area and regularly clean machines and equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity.
  • Maintain open and candid relationships with supervisors and managers.
  • Adhere to company values, practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Follow and support compliance with safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Show regular and punctual attendance at work.

  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and learn simple maintenance tasks.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • At least one year of related experience or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must obtain forklift and pallet jack licenses through Highline Warren Distribution.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Remain in a stationary position while loading and unloading trucks or operating blending equipment.
  • Transport tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Position hoses and tools requiring up to 80 pounds of force.
  • Reach forward and overhead to adjust and clean valves.
  • Ascend and descend stairs and ladders to access tanks and rail cars.
  • Operate, position, and use a variety of hand tools and equipment, as well as a computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Perceive sounds at normal speaking levels and have the ability to exchange detailed information.
  • Move about the manufacturing facility to observe and communicate with team members.
  • Visually observe and interact with associates and equipment in the plant setting.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • The individual will work in an office setting with average noise levels including conversation and office equipment noise.
