2nd Shift and Weekend General Labor

Responsibilities

• Use proper safety equipment to prepare surfaces for operations.
• Maintain shop, equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure availability, functionality, and safety.
• Coordinate with shop supervisors and team members to complete projects and work orders efficiently, on time, and without defects.
• Assist coworkers to support their work activities.
• Adhere to safety policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Perform grinding, drilling, shop clean-up, and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Meet high production demands promptly while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Able to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Able to read metric tapes.
• Adapt to shifting work priorities, communicate effectively, meet deadlines, and work as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and active participation in the company’s safety culture.
• Demonstrate quality, accuracy, thoroughness, and reliability in work performed.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to team success.
• Welding experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 40 pounds and carry 30 pounds.
• Push or move objects up to 50 lbs. of force.
• Pulling requirements up to 122 lbs. of force.
• Stand, walk, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
• Good range of motion for reaching forward, overhead, and bending.
• Agile fingers and thumbs on both hands.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed indoors in a large warehouse or outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, heavy steel, and other potential hazards.
• Safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots are required; respirators are needed for specific operations.

Schedule

• Weekend Shift: 36-hour work week paid for 40 hours (Friday through Sunday, 5 AM – 5 PM).
• Night Shift: 48-hour work week (Monday – Thursday, 5 PM – 5 AM).
• Double time pay after 50 hours worked.

Pay

$19–$20 per hour.
