General Labor - 2nd shift

About the role

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC (MD&A), a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, is seeking mechanically experienced candidates for a General Labor position on the 2nd shift within the Bearings, Seals and Hydraulics Division in Euclid, Ohio. In this role, you will assist in various areas of Operations, including casting, deburring, and cleaning of parts, as well as supporting the shop where needed. Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow work instructions and directives from leadership.

Responsibilities

• Use and operate various air-driven tools such as die grinders, impact wrenches, and needle scalers.
• Follow instructions from experienced employees to operate machines, hold or supply materials and tools, and load/unload items from machines.
• Operate industrial equipment including overhead cranes, furnaces, spin machines, metal melting equipment, and lift trucks.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with minimal guidance.
• Support all areas of the shop as needed.

Requirements

• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Recent vocational school graduate is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Work in a machine shop and casting ovens environment.
• Required use of preventative protection gear: steel-toed boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
• Exposure to loud noises, oven temperatures of 475°F or higher, heavy equipment, and materials.
• Standing for 10+ hours on concrete floors.
• Uniforms are provided.
• Overtime required during peak seasons (Spring and Fall), including weekends, with hours potentially reaching 50+ per week.
