2nd Pressman

About the Role

Our Arlington, TX printing plant is looking for a 2nd Pressman (Press Feeder) to join our team. If you’re motivated and ready to grow with a company in the print industry, this could be the job for you.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare the plates by punching holes on front and placing them inside the designated color.
• Assist Press Operator in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of the press, using hand tools.
• Load skid of unprinted sheets of paper on the feed device of the sheet-fed press, using a pallet jack.
• Inspect materials and products for defects and ensure they meet job specifications.
• Push dual control buttons and move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment.
• Load the printed side of the job to the flipping machine and prepare to load on the press machine.
• Identify and mark materials, products, and samples, following instructions.
• Remove materials and products from machines and equipment and place them in staging positions for the bindery department.
• Record production and operational data, such as the amount of materials processed.
• Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of safety hazards.
• Be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the Press Operator.
• Ability to use hand/power tools and ensure their safe use.
• Ability to multitask with changing priorities.
• Ability to recognize safety issues and take corrective actions.

Pay

2nd Shift Pay Rate: $15.00 – $22.00/hour
3rd Shift Pay Rate: $15.00 – $22.00/hour + $2.00 shift differential

Schedule

2nd Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Monday – Friday
3rd Shift: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM, Monday – Friday
