About the Role

This position supports our recent efforts to differentiate and enrich our math program. The position involves scheduled one to two times a week into each 2nd-6th math classroom to do student pull-out for enrichment or remediation, meet with classroom teachers, observe teachers, and provide feedback and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Supports classroom teachers in identifying and addressing student needs through enrichment and remediation activities.
• Collaborates with teachers and administrators to interpret CTP/Milestones data and design approaches to improve student achievement and instruction.
• Attends and provides professional development workshops in the area of math differentiation.
• Researches and co-creates math curriculum from the Upper Elementary and into Middle School.
• Creates opportunities for K-8 math experiences, including estimation challenges, the Julia Robinson Math Festival, and others.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Mathematics or Math Education.
• Minimum 5 years experience teaching at the primary elementary level.
• Strong academic background, experience in multicultural education, and an awareness of ecological literacy.
• Genuine fondness for working with students of this age.

• Familiar with and uses different kinds of assessment (formative and summative).

Benefits

Dependent on Years of Experience Teaching and Education Level.

Pay

$76,600 - $130,998 a year

• Must provide clearance background screening, TB and SB848.
