About the role

NHS Lothian is recruiting a Senior Charge Nurse based at Leith CTC. The role seeks an inspirational leader who is caring, compassionate and motivated to join a strong, empowered and highly skilled nursing team. You will work collaboratively with a person‑focused approach to deliver high‑quality, compassionate, safe and effective care, support the development of the nursing and midwifery workforce, contribute to clinical education and training, and help build leadership strengths within the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership to the nursing team
• Demonstrate caring, compassionate and motivated practice
• Foster a collaborative, person‑focused approach to care delivery
• Ensure the provision of high‑quality, compassionate, safe and effective care for patients and service users
• Support the development and education of the nursing and midwifery workforce
• Contribute to clinical education, training, induction and preceptorship programmes
• Work with colleagues to build and strengthen leadership capabilities across the team

Requirements

• Have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom (permission granted by UK Visa and Immigration)
• Hold a current PVG Scheme membership/record for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult), or be willing to obtain satisfactory clearance through Disclosure Scotland before starting in post
