26 - STREAM Teacher - Grant Funded
Summary of Functions
The primary responsibility of the STREAM Teacher is to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
Performs instructional and related duties in accordance with District policies and terms of the teacher contract.
The Teacher also maintains a cooperative attitude with staff, parents, and students.
The STREAM Teacher is responsible for developing and delivering engaging interdisciplinary instruction that integrates STREAM content through innovative, project-based, and inquiry-driven approaches.
The STREAM Teacher will be a part of the elective wheel providing students with STREAM related Project Based experiences.
Qualifications
- Valid Colorado Teaching License within 60 days from date of hire
- Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, or Mathematics Endorsement or Elementary Education Endorsement
- Employee must complete a fingerprint-based criminal background check and must be cleared by the Office of Human Resources
- Three (3) years of successful teaching experience in elementary education
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary

- Able to design and deliver engaging hands-on learning experiences and STREAM units that support student creativity and innovation
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and differentiation strategies for K-5 learners
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills to support collaboration, inquiry, and safe exploration
- Technological proficiency, including familiarity with coding, robotics, digital design, and virtual learning tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with students, staff, and families
- Establish clear classroom routines and procedures that create a positive student-centered learning environment
- Utilize data from a variety of sources to collaboratively plan and adapt instruction
- Implement evidenced-based instructional practices that build student knowledge and skills across a variety of content areas
- Actively engage in the professional development activities to continuously improve practices
- Maintain a professional attitude and work ethic
- Communicate effectively and productively with a variety of stakeholders including students, families, and colleagues
- Collaborate as a member of a high performing team to drive individual and school improvement
- Utilize a standards-based grading protocol
