About the role
Job Type: School Counselor; Instructional Level: Secondary.
Responsibilities
- Provides a comprehensive school counseling program to support students' academic, career, and social-emotional development.
- Delivers services, collaborates with staff and families, and implements interventions to support student success.
- Supports IEP team processes and transition planning for students receiving special education services, in accordance with division standards and practices.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in an accredited and approved school counselor preparation program.
- Completion of required supervised practicum and internship experiences.
- Must hold or be eligible for a license with a school counselor endorsement issued by the Virginia Department of Education.
