About the role
This position is for a Special Education/Special Education Teacher at Forest Elementary School.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with emotional impairments.
- Provide direct instruction to students in small groups or one-on-one settings.
- Collaborate with other special education teachers, classroom teachers, and school staff to support student learning and development.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and IEPs.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- A valid New Mexico teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students with emotional impairments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is 180 days per year, with summers off.
