About the role

This position is for a Special Education/Special Education Teacher at Forest Elementary School.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with emotional impairments.
  • Provide direct instruction to students in small groups or one-on-one settings.
  • Collaborate with other special education teachers, classroom teachers, and school staff to support student learning and development.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and IEPs.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • A valid New Mexico teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience working with students with emotional impairments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually.

Schedule
