About the role
The Early Childhood Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives for students.
- Collaborate with other special education teachers, classroom teachers, and related service providers to support student learning.
- Assess students' progress towards IEP goals and adjust instruction as necessary.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
- A current Missouri teaching certificate in Special Education.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
