26-27 Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Position Details

Position: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher
Location: Kenosha, WISchool Year: 2026–2027
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week
Setting: In-Person Only
Pay Rate: $30+/hour (taxable wages), based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support to preschool and early childhood students receiving special education services
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with families, general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and independence

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Valid Wisconsin teaching license/certification required in accordance with state and district regulations
• Early Childhood Special Education certification or endorsement preferred
• Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and compliance requirements
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Current CPR certification, health documentation, and TB screening if required by district or state guidelines
• Must comply with all applicable professional standards of practice
• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
