26-27 Truman Primary -Hourly Reading Tutor

About the Role

This position is responsible for providing instructional tutoring to elementary-grade students in reading, maintaining required records, and collaborating with school personnel to analyze diagnostic assessment results. The role reports to the Building Principal and is classified as hourly and non-exempt under FLSA.

Responsibilities

• Confer with school personnel to analyze diagnostic assessment results.
• Tutor elementary-grade students in reading.
• Maintain required records (student progress, assessment results, hours of tutoring, etc.).
• Maintain a professional relationship with students, parents and educators.
• Participate in training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Help manage the computerization of school district operations.
• Provide training and support to district staff in the use of administrative computer systems.
• Perform such tasks to the ultimate benefit of the educational program.

Qualifications

Credentials: Current Oklahoma Teaching Certificate

Education: High school diploma or GED

Training or experience required: None required for this position.

• Comply with safety guidelines and policies to reduce accidents or injury to staff or to students.
• Follow school dress standards, proper attendance or leave policies, and other work-habits concerns for staff.
