26/27 SY Educational Assistant - Bilingual (9022)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Successful passage of the Para Pro Exam or 48 college credits (three credits in reading, writing, math and six credits in teaching or education)
• Must successfully pass the Bilingual Assessment (English/Spanish) administered through the Bilingual and Migrant Education Department
• Associate's Degree in Education preferred
• Ability to obtain a level three license issued by the NM Public Education Department (NM PED)

Required application documents: current resume, transcripts and/or Para Pro Assessment Scores, and completion of Bilingual Assessment. Lateral transfers must also submit a Lateral Transfer Application.

• An FBI fingerprint background check will be conducted on all new hires at a cost to the employee. Continued employment is contingent upon the results of the background check.
