26-27 Substitute Teacher

Pay

• Non-Degreed: $85 per day
• Bachelor's Degree: $95 per day
• Certified: $110 per day
• Long-term Non-Degreed: $95 per day
• Long-term Degreed: $110 per day
• Long-term Certified: $135 per day
• Friday assignments: +$10 per day
• Registered Nurse (RN) substituting for a school nurse: $105 per day

A long-term substitute is defined as the same person substituting for the same teacher for more than ten (10) consecutive days in the same assignment. Long-term positions begin on the eleventh day; the substitute shall be paid the appropriate long-term rate.

Requirements

• Substitutes are required to pick up two jobs per semester to remain active.
• You must sign a Letter of Reasonable Assurance (LORA) each year, or else you will become inactive.
