26-27 Season Mascot Coordinator Internship

About the Role

An unpaid internship for the 2026-2027 season supporting the Atlanta Gladiators mascot program. The ideal candidate has prior mascot or handler experience, strong non-verbal communication skills, physical fitness, and a creative, energetic personality.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Atlanta Gladiators at community events, home games at Gas South Arena, special events, watch parties, corporate partner appearances, festivals, and school shows.
• Coordinate the mascot’s schedule with the Game Ops team, including in-game seat visits, intermission performances, pre-game tasks, and community appearances.
• Assist with in-game activities: participate in mascot skits, capture content, and ensure mascot safety.
• Manage mascot social media accounts.
• Serve as a handler/assistant during school assembly programs and community events, including setup and prop management.
• Carry props and supplies during games and ensure the mascot has all necessary items for appearances.
• Plan and execute mascot skits and entertainment for Gladiators games.
• Maintain the mascot booking calendar.

Requirements

• Local residency.
• Personal transportation.
• Previous mascot handler experience preferred.
• Ability to excite, engage, and entertain crowds.
• Must attend all Atlanta Gladiators home games.
