Responsibilities
- Support students in their academic success through daily tutorials and other interventions.
- Foster a positive learning environment by promoting respect, responsibility, and integrity.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining student records and data.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Valid California teaching credential or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pass a background check.
Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred, but not required.
- Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
- Knowledge of AVID curriculum and strategies.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $126,000 annually. Candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5; for external candidates, Column 4 is the maximum incoming placement. Additional pay includes $5,000 - $14,000 annual stipends for hard-to-staff Special Education positions, $2,000 annual stipends for counselor, social worker, and teacher librarian positions, $3,000 annual stipend for advanced degrees, $1,000 - $4,500 annual stipends for various extra-curricular activities, and $1,500 - $6,000 annual stipends for various leadership roles.
Schedule
The length of the work year is 10 months/year, 186 days/year, 5 days/week, with a professional work day.
