Position Summary

Teachers (4116.31)
a. Instruct students to the best of their ability within the curriculum plan adopted by the Board.
b. Participate actively in committees dealing with planning, research, curriculum, public relations, or other professional activities.
c. Exercise proper supervision and care over all furniture, books, supplies, and equipment provided for their use; instruct students in the care and proper use of school property; and report promptly any abuses.
d. Maintain classroom control and report situations hindering successful work to the principal.
e. Manage and supervise all students of the school and receive specific assignments from the principal.
f. Open and close school sessions or class schedules punctually.
g. Enforce Board rules and regulations within their jurisdiction.
h. Observe pupils to determine defects hindering successful work and report such situations to the principal.
i. Prepare lesson plans, records, and reports as required by the principal or central office.
j. Work cooperatively with parents in the best interests of the students.
