Program Overview

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Nashville supports communities across Middle Tennessee through emergency assistance, emotional support, and employment services. Programs focus on hunger relief, housing stability, workforce development, counseling, and family support.

Community Engagement and Capacity Building VISTA

The Community Engagement and Capacity Building VISTA will strengthen organizational capacity by developing outreach strategies, creating communications materials, expanding community partnerships, and building volunteer engagement systems.

• Create sustainable systems that expand access to resources for families across Middle Tennessee.
• Evaluate current outreach and volunteer engagement efforts.
• Develop communications materials and resource directories.
• Strengthen community partnerships.
• Implement tools that improve collaboration and referral networks.
• Create outreach campaigns, presentations, volunteer training materials, and engagement strategies.
• Develop tracking systems, document best practices, and train staff and volunteers on new tools and processes.
• Collaborate with nonprofit partners, schools, faith communities, and community leaders.

• Recommended term: 12 months
