26/27 Assistant Volleyball Coach, Miller Middle School
About the role
This coaching position involves instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of volleyball. We are a member of the San Juan Basin Middle School League.
Responsibilities
- Instruct middle school students in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of volleyball
- Build rapport with middle school students
- Build individual and team character and confidence
- Relate to students of varying athletic abilities
- Conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
- Work positively and communicate effectively with coaches, staff, parents and administration
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques of volleyball
- Ability to build rapport with middle school students
- Ability to build individual and team character and confidence
- Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities
- Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
- Ability to work positively and communicate effectively with coaches, staff, parents and administration
