26-27 After School Care

Job Summary

St. Austin is seeking an after-school care provider to supervise students (PK-8) from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm.

About the Role

The employee will support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school. They will act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church and support the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children for safety and appropriate behavior.
• Absorb and assist with homework.
• Absorb and assist with record keeping.
• Requires students to obey rules.
• Uses accepted discipline procedures.
• Knows all emergency procedures including location of emergency phone numbers, building evacuation procedures, and student emergency health information.
• Absorb and assist with maintenance of all student and parent sign in and out.
• Absorb and assist with proper use of equipment, grounds, and buildings.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director or principal.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma
• Certifications and Training: Valid Texas Driver's license, must maintain compliance with the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies, must submit an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application for Ministry within the first week of employment, participate in an EIM Basic abuse prevention training workshop within 30 days of submitting a complete Application for Ministry, and maintain EIM compliance during the entire term of employment.

Working Conditions

• Required to work a minimum of a full school day
