About the role
Responsible for providing direct care services to individuals with disabilities in their homes. Duties include assisting with daily living activities, medication management, and promoting independence and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene and grooming
- Help with meal preparation and nutrition
- Monitor health and administer medications as needed
- Support with mobility and transportation needs
- Engage in social activities to promote quality of life
- Document progress and communicate with family members and healthcare providers
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Passing background check and criminal history review
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Skills
- Basic computer literacy
- First aid and CPR certification (preferred)
