Essential Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and analyze daily production data such as oil, water, and gas producing rates and pressures.
- Analyze lease operating expenses (LOE) to optimize operational profits.
- Oversee the planning and sizing of various production systems including flow line heaters, separators, oil/water storage & disposal, gas & liquid metering, dehydration facilities, and gas compression.
- Manage artificial lift processes such as rod pumping, gas lift, electric submersible pumps, plunger lift, foaming with capillary strings, and progressive cavity pumps.
- Plan and execute open and cased hole logging operations and interpret the resulting data.
- Create detailed procedures for completion, workover, and facilities installation or repair projects, including personnel, equipment, and material requirements.
- Develop and apply cost estimates for completion, workover, and production facilities projects using Authority For Expenditure (AFE) forms.
- Conduct economic analyses to support project decisions.
- Apply creative and entrepreneurial problem-solving techniques to contribute to company goals.
- Interact effectively with partners, service providers, peers, and support staff, and field and wellsite personnel.
- Hire and retain personnel as needed.
- Be available 24/7 for questions, emergencies, and other needs.
- Maintain punctuality and adhere to work schedules and attendance standards.
- Preserve confidentiality of company assets and intellectual property.
- Maintain technical knowledge through education and participation in professional associations.
- Achieve team goals and support company vision and mission.
Qualifications
- Four (4) years oil and gas production field operations experience required.
- Minimum three (3) years experience working as an engineer for an oil and gas operating company required.
- Ability to accurately solve problems and proficient in interpreting production-related data.
- Ability to develop self-directed teams and maintain team momentum and pride in company achievements.
- Strong dynamic team leadership skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into organized presentations.
- Outstanding management, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, or petroleum engineering.
