About the role

Signal Support Systems Specialists integrate signal systems and networks, perform signal support functions, and maintain and install signal support systems and terminal devices. They also provide technical assistance and training for automation and communications equipment, prepare maintenance and supply requests, and operate and perform preventative maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain radio and data distribution systems
  • Perform signal support functions and technical assistance for computer systems
  • Provide technical assistance and training for local area networks
  • Maintenance for equipment, terminal devices, assigned vehicles, and power generators

Requirements

  • Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards

Schedule

In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Job training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 18 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT).

Pay

The pay range for Signal Support Systems Specialists is between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
