About the role
The Signal Support Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring Army National Guard units remain connected and informed, integrating signal systems and providing technical support.
Responsibilities
- Maintain radio and data distribution systems
- Perform signal support functions and unit-level maintenance on authorized signal equipment
- Install, operate, and maintain radio and data distribution systems
- Supervise and train other Soldiers
- Maintain and install signal support systems and terminal devices
- Provide technical assistance and training for automation and communications equipment
- Prepare maintenance and supply requests for unit-level signal support
- Operate and perform preventative maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles
Requirements
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards

Schedule
Basic Training: 10 weeks
Advanced Individual Training (AIT): 18 weeks
Pay
Actual pay range is between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
