About the role
The Signal Support Systems Specialist ensures that communication within Army National Guard units remains fluid and effective. This role involves integrating signal systems and networks, performing various signal support functions, and maintaining and installing signal support systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain radio and data distribution systems
- Perform signal support functions and technical assistance for computer systems
- Provide technical assistance and training for local area networks
- Maintain and install equipment, terminal devices, assigned vehicles, and power generators
Requirements
- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards

Schedule
In the Army National Guard, you will learn valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Job training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 18 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT).
Pay
Actual MOS assignment may depend on MOS availability. Candidates must be between the ages of 17 and 35 to join the Army National Guard. Non-prior service candidates can earn between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
