About the role

The Signal Support Systems Specialist ensures effective communication within Army National Guard units by integrating signal systems and networks, performing support functions, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain radio and data distribution systems
• Perform signal support functions and technical assistance for computer systems
• Provide technical assistance and training for local area networks
• Maintain and install equipment, terminal devices, assigned vehicles, and power generators
• Maintain and train others in signal support systems and terminal devices
• Prepare maintenance and supply requests for unit-level signal support
• Operate and perform preventative maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles

Requirements

• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards

Schedule

Basic Training: 10 weeks

Advanced Individual Training (AIT): 18 weeks
