About the role

NHS Lothian is recruiting a Child Protection Advisor at Woodburn Cottage, 56 Canaan Lane. The successful candidate will lead the Child Protection Team and contribute to the strategic vision and implementation of the Nursing and Midwifery Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Child Protection Team
• Contribute to the strategic vision and implementation of the Nursing and Midwifery Strategic Plan
• Collaborate with the Clinical Education and Training team and education coordinators
• Work with the post holder to build on their leadership strengths

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A collaborative, person-focused approach
• Experience in leading a Child Protection Team
• Strong clinical education background
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold:

• An appropriate degree in Nursing or Midwifery
• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
• Current PVG Scheme membership/record

Pay

The starting salary for this role is £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Schedule

The Child Protection Advisor role is full-time and permanent.
